About Aimee Nicotera

Aimee Nicotera is an international fitness presenter and Virtual Studio Owner with over 25 years of experience. Aimee has served in roles including health coach, high school health educator, corporate wellness advisor, and fitness director. Aimee has extensive experience creating and developing group fitness programs, as well as consulting, researching, and writing for fitness companies, including Spartan, Life Time, and MOSSA. Aimee is always exploring ways to create innovative fitness and wellness experiences. Aimee holds a BS in Nutrition Science, a Masters in Health Education, as well as numerous certifications, including those from ACSM, ACE, and AFAA. In addition, Aimee is a Level 2 Applied Health & Human Performance Specialist through the Institute of Motion. She is the creator of the fitness DVD series 2X2 Conditioning and Take 20!, as well as the format E5 COLLECTIVE.

Minimal Equipment, Maximal Impact!

E5 Collective is a training format designed to reach a broad range of people with smart, effective fitness programming using simple methods and minimal equipment. E5 Collective is based on the science around variability training, cognitive health and brain training, play, and mindset. E5 Collective packages together innovative approaches and creative strategies, to help our clients and participants improve their health and fitness in a fun, accessible and inclusive way. The programming is time-based and is easily regressed and progressed to meet the needs of the individual. The “E” stands for explore. The “5” represents the 5 phases of the experience, which are identified with action words that are brought to life through movement. Each participant shares an experience as a “collective” while exploring their own unique opportunities for growth.

Objectives:

1. Review some of the latest research around loaded movement training, brain training, play and factors contributing to a growth mindset.

2. Identify the details behind the scientific anchors of E5 Collective, including variability training, cognitive health, mindset, and play, and how they are incorporated into the format and structure.

3. Understand how to take science based strategies and apply them in a structured way to serve a variety of clientele with effective, engaging programming.
